Abhinav Kardekar

Founder & Principal Counsel

Background

Mr. Abhinav Kardekar commenced his legal practice in 2009 before the High Court of Chhattisgarh under the mentorship of a Senior Counsel. In 2011, he co-founded law firm Corporate Legal, and in 2015, established his independent practice under the name AKP Law, with a focused emphasis on commercial litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.

Experience

With over 17 years of experience, Mr. Kardekar has developed a strong practice in commercial, energy, infrastructure, and mining laws. He is widely recognized for advising and representing clients in complex and high-value disputes, including power tariff and regulatory matters, mining disputes, shareholder conflicts, and infrastructure-related claims.

Representation

He appears before various High Courts, Electricity Regulatory Commissions, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and arbitral tribunals. He is also retained in advisory capacities by leading companies in the power and steel sectors, particularly across Central India.

Ayush Singh Solanki

Background

Ayush holds a graduate degree in law (BA. L.L.B (Hons.)) from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, with a specialisation in corporate law.

After graduation, he had a brief stint at NMDC, Hyderabad, where, as part of its legal team, he handled high-stakes construction law arbitrations, mining and energy law-related matters for the company.

Experience

Following his time at NMDC, he joined AKP and continued his legal practice with a special focus on handling commercial disputes and dealing with commercial and energy laws. He currently leads the dispute resolution team and actively represents the firm before various High Courts, Commercial Courts, and Tribunals/Commissions/Authorities, including APTEL, NCLAT, SERCS, NCLTs, and RERA.

Pranav Khandelwal

Background

Pranav Khandelwal is an Associate at AKP Law. He graduated from Hidayatullah National Law University in 2017 and holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services and Legislations from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

Experience

Pranav has prior experience with the Law and Legislative Affairs Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, where he was involved in legislative drafting and handling commercial tax disputes. He has also served as a Legal Officer with a State Public Sector Undertaking, advising and working on company law matters, commercial agreements, labour laws, tender-related work, and regulatory issues, while working closely with government authorities. At AKP Law, his practice focuses on commercial contracts, dispute resolution, arbitration, and energy law. He is actively involved in advising on contractual and regulatory matters and regularly represents clients before various courts and tribunals.

Neha Baid

Background

Neha Baid graduated from the Institute of Technology and Management, Raipur, with strong academic performance. During her academic tenure, she gained hands-on experience through internships with reputed law firms in Delhi, where she was exposed to high stake commercial disputes. Owing to her academic excellence and dedication towards the field, she secured a pre-placement offer from AKP Law and commenced her professional career with the Firm in the year 2023.

Since joining AKP Law, Neha has been actively involved in a wide range of high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution matters. She routinely appears and assists in proceedings before various High Courts across India, Commercial Courts, National Company Law Tribunals (NCLTs), the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, among other judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Rahul is an Associate practising primarily in civil, commercial, energy and infrastructure disputes and joined the firm straight after graduation from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (2025), where he specialised in Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Trade Laws.

Experience

Known for his precision and diligence, Rahul’s work spans drafting, research, brief preparation, and supporting litigation strategy, with a developing focus on contractual and corporate disputes, and sector-specific issues within the power and infrastructure domains. Rahul has assisted in and appeared for clients before various courts and tribunals including the High Court of Chhattisgarh, NCLT, Commercial Courts, RERA, and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions.
